Terrafirma Shocks... OME or Terrafirma Springs
#11
I have the Med TF kit on my 2003 D2. Have a few thousand miles, so not much miles yet but been wheeling 3 times already. So far no issues. I do like the ride of the TF compared to OME that my brothers with a D1 and a 2000 D2 have installed. Only time will tell, but I noticed a lot of folks here have gone with the TF, so the reports will come in with time.

T.F. lifts are a softer, probably the softest of all kits. Funny though, all the good, well known, well test kits, such as OME, RTE and the Bilstein 7100's and up are much firmer to handle off road application and do cost more.
T.F.has become a big name only because of it price not it's quality. Ever seen a set running the Baja or Las Vegas runs, Nope.
That being said, if your idea of trails are fire roads, running the dunes and light to very moderate trails the T.F. will handle that, not sure for how long though.

I am going to be looking at installing upgraded suspension on my 94 Disco 3.9l soon. Like many others I am considering the TerraFirma brand due to pricing. I'd love to use the money saved over the OME kit on other upgrades. For those with the TerraFirma, or anyone else with the knowledge, which kit are you using? I noticed that TerraFirma has two choices. The"regular" shocks, and the upgraded ones with the plastic sleeve and heavier welds. The latter seem to be more of a direct competition to the OME. I guess I am just wondering if anyone is using the "upgraded" TerraFirma shocks, and what are your thoughts on them . Sorry for making a simple question into a novel,
