Default Terrafirma Tubular or Skeleton shock towers?

Sorry I'm posting like a madman, but I cannot discern the difference here:

Terrafirma Front shock turrets | Suspension - Hardware Accessories for Land Rover Vehicles

Skeleton
Terrafirma Discovery 2 Shock Turrets ? Lucky 8 Parts and Accesories for Land Rovers

Tubular
Set of 2 Terrafirma Front Shock Towers / Turrets - Heavy Duty (TF504) | eBay

The tubular ones look stronger and are quite a bit cheaper, but I don't understand how the shock mounts on the top. Thoughts?

Or RTE adjustable shock towers? But it says designed for 3"+ lift, and I'm only doing 2 (for now).

The TF504 is for a DI not DII. DI Shock has a post, DII has the eye.

I was looking at the tubular ones and thought they looked bad *** until I saw they were for the Disco 1.

I have a set of the TF ones on my D1 and they're very strong. I've seen a set of bright yellow ones for a D2 and they were huge vs the Terrafirma ones, but I bet to get them installed properly the inner fenders had to be trimmed.

Zero issues or complaints with the Terrafirma units.

I have the TF ones on my D2 and they are pretty stout. They look nice too and are easily seen from the side. I get comments on them which is pleasing after you spent 6 hours of your time doing the lift by yourself!

I used Craddock (I think) skeletal steel towers which were heavily galvanised as standard and have been excellent and also easy to install with TF stock shocks, TF118's and TF119's plus the TF steering damper.

If you or a friend have a welder you can just cut the factory ones and weld them shorter. That's what I did.

I wish the disco ones would fit a disco 2 without mods. Those things look stout!

Thanks for clarifying.

RoversNorth offers 2 other options: the yellow powder coat and galvanized steel.

Featured Shock Towers - Rovers North - Classic Land Rover Parts

Are these the ones you have, OffroadFrance? Is there a UK source? I bet they'd be a lot cheaper from there, even with shipping. They look beefier than the Terrafirma's.
