the dash on the pass side. Not sure if the heater core is shot or what but it blows hot air. If you turn and accelerate you can hear what is water swooshing around. What could this be?

Sounds like air in the coolant system. There is a write-up on bleeding the coolant in the "How To."

check the coolant level make sure there is coolant in the resovoir and then make sure you bleed the air out of the system.

Or the other possibility is that the a/c drain tubes are plugged and water is trapped and splashing around.
If it is a low coolant issue, you need to have it checked to make sure the truck doesn't have leaking head gaskets, cause the coolant level to drop.
