I live in NE Texas and no salt. I was planning on doing the TF 2-inch lift this summer. Now I am not sure. Don't want rusty crap on my truck. It does not have a speck of rust on it after 14 years. Don't want to start now. Hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm.

To me it looks like the paint has chipped off regardless of the salt. It's just that when exposed, the bare steel has rusted.

Painting a coil spring isn't honestly a big deal, block off the area and spray away with some black spray paint. Or before the install spray em down with a good shot of clear coat. My TF stuff is almost a year old with very little wear showing on them.

Totally agree it won't be a big deal to paint them. Once all the substandard TF paint has flaked off.

But really. If I'd known I would have invested in kit that was slightly more resilient.

I'm surprised there isn't a bigger outcry over the standard. They are painting a spring with non flexible paint. Uh?

Last TF product for me.
