First of all, this install took me 2 more hours than it should of for the following reasons:
This rover was in a small front end accident
The terrafirma bumper is a tight fit, REALLY tight
I ended up pounding away at the frame bumper caps to re-align then after a historical accident. There was an amount of warping/damage to the caps themselves and it didn't take too much effort to pound them back into place.
Finished product:
Dirty
Removed stock bumper
The fit was so tight I had to use a jack to torque the bumper into position. I read threads of this TF009A bumper having fitment issues and it's true. However, I can't really complain because this car has been in a fender bender.
Using jack stands and a jack to align new bumper in place
After 3 hours or so the bottom bolts were in but the top ones were still off by a hair. I ended up just boring out that extra steel with a drill because my hand was covered in blisters from pounding with the mallet.
Couldn't align it perfectly, got it SO close, but decided to drill out the rest
And finished product, overall happy with the way it looks. Pain in the a** to install though.
All done
Didn't think it was going to be that hard, not going to lie. For those thinking about purchasing the TF009A make sure your ready to muscle it in.
