Shorter sidewalls will give you a better roll over angle. Stock roll over for a Disco is 45%, I would never do that, but thats what it is rated at.
Add a lift and you lower that, taller tires and lower it some more.

Keep in mind that you MUST use premium gas and if you cant work on it yourself you will go broke.
Every truck is going to be different obviously, but mine is more reliable than my wifes Volvo.

Biggest advantage for me was buying a vehicle that can go nearly anywhere at low prices due to the resale value that drops like a rock.

There are so many on the market you can be patient and find a 1 owner, with a stack of service records like a phonebook, it'll likely make a reliable vehicle for whatever you want to throw at it.

well I think Ill know soon, my 4runner may be sold tomorrow and Ill be on my way to get a discovery. Lord help me.

theres only one problem with that.. Im going to be traveling to get this, most likely. So Im going to base it off of ALOT of pictures and hope and trust. I have bought two vehicles out of state so far both were great purchases.
