Is there an easier way to fix rear main and tranny front seal?
I have red fluid on the bolts of the inspection plate and it looks like oil also coming through the bellhousing. So I assume 2 things, rear main seal is the oil, but what usually leaks the tranny fluid in the bellhousing?
Is the rear main or the tranny front seal a hard job to do? Is there an easier way to do this fix? I'm doing all the work on the ground with a few jacks.. I hate to take it all down again if I don't have to.. I am nimble with small hands buuut I also have a short fuse when things don't come off or go back on without fighting it..
Also this damn rear driveshaft is a pain in the *** to remove! I have the front tires up on ramps, so I can't really lift on the rear without risking it rolling away..
