(Thermo Help) Overheating... STILL
#13
No, I've got two Rovers. I got 4 gallons of 50/50; plenty over-kill. I'll pull it up on blocks to get it in the air, and then lift the tank to bleed.
Stay tuned.
Also- Thank you all again SO much. I can't tell you how reassuring it is to know that there are other people thinking of me, hoping to help me fix my problem. You guys are a great community, and thanks so much for being here.

hey fever you did double check that belt routing before starting the bleed yes? the only reason I came to that thought was that you just had it serviced but someone who is not you.... im assuming it wasnt the dealership either.... they probably winged it.... if your going to bleed it you should make sure its the way it should be first.

The belt routing looks correct...
Well, I just bled it, but I don't think the problem was air. As soon as I lifted that tank, with the hose screw loose, without even adding coolant, it poured out from that screw. I proceeded to bleed it like normal, but it barely took any coolant.
The heat NEVER got warm.
THE WEIRD THING:
The hose coming out of the bottom of the thermostat is COLD. It's simply not opening... why the heck would that be??
Thanks guys... I'm scouring the forum for old posts....

Hahaha, that's money well spent for me then
The 2004... I really am not sure if it could be the serpentine belt routed incorrectly or not. It's odd that it stayed perfectly cool until today, except for the one time.
It's so weird that the thermostat doesn't open. If pressure builds up in the lines, the pump is working, right? If the water gets hot, but the thermostat doesn't open...
I am lost. I'm going out to try dinking with it some more...
