It's only gotten warm three times, and only (barely) in the red just for a second, the third time. I'd never let it get too warm (I hope).

The times that it happened though, it didn't make a difference whether it was cruising with airflow or not.

It's the thermostat NOT OPENING for some reason.

Hello, Elboy!

Nope, not yet. I had a full day, and I had to end up using my wife's Rover.... ;(

Just getting home- I tried to track down a new thermostat while I was out and about, but no luck. I'm hoping I some how got a bad one.

I'm printing off the belt diagram, and am about to head out to check it.

Talk to you soon!

Pat

PS- THANKS for posting this.

Dude, what the heck is #4 on the diagram? My vehicle doesn't have ANYTHING there, though there are bolt holes, and the plastic cover extends to the spot...

Hey D2F,
since you have 2 thermostats why not try removing the innards of one so it can't be blocked. Then fit it and see how it goes. This will either confirm or deny the thermostat being the issue.

On the routing - you should download the RAVE manual. it will show you what all those parts are.

Good Luck!

if you dont have that item then you dont have active cornering on your vehicle. the rest should be the same and it doesnt change the routing so just follow the belt the same way around the components....

I've got the RAVE manual on my external at my office.

My vehicle HAD ACE at one point- I wonder if the previous owner removed it?

Hey guys- tonight, I start it and the thermostat opened... I haven't taken it for a drive yet...

Blowing warm air, idles fine at normal temp, all hoses warm and pressurized.

Hey guys- if I dropped a sleeve, it would run rough or something, right?

If you dropped a sleeve Pat you would know it, she would be knocking and or running rough.

As for the ACE, not all trucks came with it, it would be big $$$ to remove it because there are hydrulic rams by the shocks to control body roll.
And to remove everything and reprogram the computer and...alot of work and money for nothing.

It would be pretty easy to install the t-stat backwards and not know it.
