Default Thermostat Replacement

I need to replace the thermostate but I'm not sure if I need to get a high or low temp one. They range from 160-195 degrees. Which should I get?

Can't tell you for sure but would suggest you order one from Atlantic British or Rover Connection, they will know for sure.

Buy the OEM replacement. Atlantic British sells one for around $20.00. If you buy a low temp thermostat the engine may never warm up enough affecting fuel and heater efficiency.

Cheers,

Pete

Go to atlanticbritish.com and you can get a t-stat and gasket. You might beable to get it from the dealer for less than buying and shipping from AB.

Remove the upper radiator hose, unbolt the goose neck, remove t-stat. Make sure that you put the new one in the same direction as the old one. It will overheat if you put it in backwards.

Never use a low temp t-stat, unless you live in the Sahara.
