Default Thermostat Replacement

Does anyone know how difficult it is to replace the thermostat on a 2000 RR? Is there any place I can find a detailed description on how to do it? Thanks

Do you have the part itself already? They're a tad pricey. Also, do you have the RAVE for your Range?

What makes you think your t-stat is the problem?

1. refill point might require a large set of channel locks to undo it.
2. make darn sure you put the spring side toward the block (where the heat comes from)
3. some folks drill a small hole (1/16-1/8) to allow coolant to flow. might already have one. interested to hear other opinions on that -- in FL it's a good idea since we are more concerned about cooling than heating.
4. put antiseize on the bolts (threads and all) when they go back in.
5. it the bolt starts getting tight on removal - soak area with penetrating oil (PB Blaster is best, LiqWrench is okay) and then screw it back in. in-out, int-out and keep the PB Blaster flowing.

go out there right now and spray pentrating oil on the bolts and general area. Let it soak a few days.

i think cold serfer is giving you directions as if you had a classic.
the thermostat is on the passenger side of the fan shroud.
if its white its already been replaced.
if its black its never been replaced.
yes download the rave disc and review.
