Default Thermostate for a DII in Savannah, GA Needed

My thermostat just went on my '04 and it is my daily driver. Need to replace tonight/tomorrow. Anywhere to buy a replacement in the area other than the dealership. They want $46 where Atlantic British wants a little more to get me one here tomorrow. Any other options in the area?

What do you mean it failed, what happened, how many miles on the engine?
As for the price, sounds like you don't have many options and that price, although a little high, will at least get you on the road assuming there is not another coolant issues you have not yet seen.

I am blowing coolant out of the bleader valve and a friend out west had the same issue, replaced his and issue over. I had planned to do the inline thermostat modificaiton that was posted on this site some time back in the next month but now I have an issue. The truck had head gaskest replaced 15K miles ago and had to use Bars Leak to fix coolant leaking into the cylinders at the same time. I beleive I spoke with you Mike about this back in 2009. Truck has run fine except in high heat. Just trying to strech out the live of this machine until it's time to replace everything.

So, don't plan on doing any driving soon, you have more then a t/stat issue.
Send me your number and I'll call you right back, I'll be here for an hour, I need to walk you thru what you are missing and stay away from the t/stat conversion to an inline.

One option in addition to LR of Hilton Head or NAPA is LKQ salvage yard at Hwy 80 and Chatham Parkway, they have several D2 in stock, you pull for $2 entry fee and $1 for a thermostat. Might hold you until one you want arrives. Cash & Carry on Staley Ave has one D2.

After talking with Mike and playing around at lunch, I now need a new bleed screw ASAP. Went to check the bleed screw for a crack, tightened it back up and screw head poped off. I was using a penny to tighten. Local auto parts stores don't have the screw, leaving me to either go to Savannah BMW or Hilton Head BMW. Of course they close at 5:30. Now limp home and go from there. Savannah Buzz, know of anywhere near the airport to get this part ASAP.
