Are these Discos metric or imperial?

Default Are these Discos metric or imperial?

Seems like between being British but also a BMW, fasteners and dimensions are a weird mix of the two.

i've only ever run into Metric nuts and bolts.

Then you've never replaced your drive shaft, haha.

Starter bolts are not metric thread and neither are the oil pan bolts on a Bosch Engine.

huh?

i've done at least two. don't remember them being Imperial.

shows what i know. or, rather, remember.

haha, yeah... 9/16" ...putting the driveshaft back on the other day is what led me to wonder about this. When I used to work on BMW, EVERYTHING was metric. I didn't even own an SAE set of any kind for the longest time. So far I've encountered a pretty weird 70/30 split, metric vs SAE, working on these discos. Always an adventure! haha
