Default They got my lines crossed

So I have been struggling with power steering noise and bleeding air for 2 weeks as I bought my rover 2 weeks ago. It has ACE and they crossed the supply lines. So my supply for power steering is going to the ACE and my supply for ACE is going to the power steering pump. According to the manual the front part of the reservoir is for power steering, so the bottom line should go to the pump and the top line is the pressure line to the box. My question if anybody knows is.

1. Did this wreck anything?

Cant you change it back to proper order? Then it should work fine and bleed it properly. One pump must have higher presure than the other.

Both systems use the same type of fluid and I don't think there's anything specific about one side of the reservoir or the other, just that one is closer to the PAS pump than the other.
I believe that the ACE system is more sensitive to dirt and particles in the fluid than the PAS system is, but that's the only difference I can think of unless there's a filter in the reservoir on the ACE side.

I swapped them back, had to borrow a ps hose from a different project. After bleeding it seems that it is working well. It certainly handles better around corners. What was happening is that the system would push fluid out of the reservoir and get air in the other side, sometimes the PS side sometimes the Ace side. There is still a residual wine, barley but noticeable, perhaps residual air.
