C'mon now everyone, we're here because we all love our landies, let's not forget that. Congrats on getting the DII up and running khuds, and we all value your advice and wisdom Mike.

It's ok to learn about rovers and off roading by trial and error. How do you think our predecessors did it? Part of the fun of the great outdoors is getting out there and making mistakes. As long as you have fun doing it, and don't take unnecessary risks and endanger yourself or others, I say more power to you! Did you have any pics that you may be able to put up showing your sunken DII?

khuds308,

I'm sure there will be a few people behind the scenes that will take heed to what you have posted and put it to good use.

All's well that end's Well!

That's unfortunate, I bet that would have been pretty funny :-) So was the interior flooded as well? How did the upholstery and seats hold up if so?

yeah water was all the way up to the bottom of the windows. I live in Arizona so everything dried out just fine. no smell, seats are good, plastics are all in good shape. the only thing wrong with it now hot air comes out of the pass. side A/C vents and the airbags don't want to air up (i had that problem before, it came and went).
