Smile Think all my projects are finished

Got all those pesky "to do" things done on my D2. Replaced the CPS and put the other one in the glove box as a spare. Wasn't having any problems but wanted to do it now instead of on the side of the road. (The old one said "Bosch" and the shielding for the wire was kind of warn so probably was due). Also put new Akebono pads on the rear and that got rid of the occasional squeak. (did the front about 3 weeks ago,) And finally I replaced the rotoflex. Good thing I did. Once I removed the old one and slightly bent it, I could see numerous cracks throughout. Oil change too (Rotella 15w-40 and Donaldson filter), greased driveshafts... what a day! I might actually keep this thing! And I might get real brave and drive it when I go on vacation next month (1,000 mile trip)

Glad to hear that you're all caught up!

Disco's make for the best road trip vehicles (minus the gas). You won't be sorry that you took it.

Yes, the gas will be a killer but it's cheaper than flying! And I'll find out (good or bad) if I did the headgasket right. It's been almost a year now since the HG so I think if I screwed up, something would have happened by now! Regardless, I have a portable tool shop in the cargo area. Everything is back there except for a spare engine.
