Thinking of Buying In...
My advice would be to find an independent shop somewhere near you for when you can't/don't want to attempt a particular repair. Look at their hourly labor rates and ask for references so you can talk to their clients. Chances if someone has had a Land Rover has been to a couple different shops and can narrow your research before you buy.
I have multiple vehicles so if I'm waiting for a part/etc it's no big deal. Also, I plan on keeping mine until it, or I fall apart; I'm 28 so I'm in it for the long haul.
I looked for mine for about a year and finally came upon one that was to good to pass up. Good luck, happy hunting, and be patient!!!
