Default Three Amigos Battery Reset

Does this work to clear the three amigos?

To clear the light, your ECU needs to be reset. This can be done by disconnecting both the positive and negative cables from the battery, at all locations in the vehicle. If Land Rover is like BMW, you will have a negative auxiliary post somewhere under the hood or in the rear storage area. That post will need disconnected as well. Leave the battery disconnected for about 15 minutes, then reconnect everything. If the light comes back on after that, then you probably have a bad or disconnected ABS sensor

No, if it was that simple they would not be such a big deal.

No. The SLABS ECU doesn't care if you disconnect the battery. It will however reset it's self if the fault is intermittent after you shut off the engine and restart it. No need for battery disconnect. If you are getting malfunction indicator lights then it is for a reason and not to be ignored.

What three amigos issue are you having?

This is a good example of what to believe and or not believe when reading a post.
There is absolutly no truth to this procedure for the 3 Amigos or pretty much any other fault.
