Three Amigos Question Disco Mike??? Anybody
Well the girlfriends 2000 Discovery decided to throw the Three Amigos-code p1590 code and p1668. I cleared the p1668 the 1590 will clear but come back on, the 3 lights stay on no matter what. So i drove her LR no pulsating or brake noises but at high speeds i slammed on the brakes and it took a while to stop. Real spongy brakes. almost like there is air in the lines? Brakes were changed a year ago. We have been soaked here in Cali if that has anything to do with it. Any suggestions, I refuse to get ripped off from the dealership and have gotten all my questions answered here and problems fixed, Thanks guys

More than likely you are looking at a new hub (part cost $400 new or $125 used) or you will have to do the modulator fix detailed in the stickies (free if you DIY).

ABS is the brakes, you get them when there is a perceived sensor problem or modulator issue. If you are really lucky maybe it is just because you have neglected your pads and they squeak like crazy. When was the last time you flushed out the brake fluid and got some fresh stuff in there? How are the pads and rotors?
