Default three amigos safety

I know everyone is probably sick of questions about the three amigos, but I've gone through the search and just have a quick one. My lights come on intermittantly after about 20 min. of driving and are off at the next start up. Before I have a chance to delve into this I will be making a 300 mile trip in the next couple days and I wonder if I should be concerned about safety. Brakes feel normal when the lights are on.

Thanks for your opinions.

Depends on the failure. Is the brake light on too? Most likely you'll be fine, you just won't have ABS or ETC. If it's a failure that causes EBD not to work, you might be at risk of locking on one axle before the other.
