Default Throttle Body bolt hole stripped

Hello everyone. So, my TBH was leaking, and when I got the kit in and got to work I found that one of the bolt holes (holding the flange to the throttle body) is stripped out, preventing the flange from seating snugly. So here's my 2-part question... Any solid fix for this (lock-tite, epoxy, etc)? I'm not sure how hot it gets, so maybe a mechanical hold is best? If not, would grabbing a new throttle body from a u-pull yard suffice? I've never worked on a throttle body before, but my gut says they're not plug and play, and would need to be calibrated to some degree? Any thoughts? I'd rather not by-pass it, as I'm in the North East, and regularly drive through the white mountains in the colder weather.

Thanks!

My winters get down to -30. I think you will be fine.

It is a really small bolthole to fix, but you could measure and get a timesert or helicoil. I'd prolly do timesert, but helicoil may be fine. I resurface mine with sandpaper to get a nice flat surface this last time I did the gasket. It had rounded quite a bit.

Or just drill out slightly larger and re-thread with a larger bolt.

Part of me wants to just toss a dab of JB Weld in there and call it a day haha. What is the bypass procedure? I can find tons of opinions on whether to do it or not, but no actual procedure/parts list. I think I'll need to by-pass for a day or two until I have time to mess with retapping/threading.

Just put a bolt in the feed hose hose and put a hose clamp on it.

Bypass it & forget about the leak every 4 months (if your lucky) from that poorly designed TBH Plate! You can simply plug the lines or run a hose from the intake manifold back to the reservoir, the choice is yours.

I ran a hose directly from the intake manifold to the expansion tank.

Very straight forward, get about 3' of 1/4" fuel hose from your local auto parts store and two worm clamps.

I'd say bypass. I've only had my throttle body freeze on me once when it was -30° and the truck sat for 3 weeks. And even then, it frozen just barely open, more of a inconvenience than real danger.

My thought was to connect the two hoses with a brass fitting and snap clamps, then close off the TBH ports with a section of hose going from one to the other. Am I not thinking about this system correctly? Why is everyone running a hose to the expansion tank?
