Not sure if it's just me, but when I drive 75-80MPH on the freeway and I have to pass someone jumping up to 5,000 RPM isn't a problem in any of my D2's lol.

My TB froze stuck open this AM.. Made it all the way to work fine but last mile MagPie felt funny

Parked and threw the shifter into park and the revs shot up to 2800 and then I turned it off.

Popped the hood and manually opened and closed both TB linkages, seemed alright.

I do have the lines running to the TB and it was probably -10 this morning.

I did on all my trucks because Disco Mike said it was the thing to do. Live and learn.

I installed my TBH on the weekend. Driving with a stuck throttle is too exciting for me 🤤 I'm beginning to think that my freezing issue was caused by water vapour from the crankcase breather freezing in the bottom of the TB.

Hmm.. froze up again this AM.

it was probably around -0 driving to work, I saw at one point -4 on the intake temps via UG.

Going to clean/inspect at lunch today

If you get the TB off, get squares of 180 and 220 Grit Sandpaper. you'll see the contact surface for the heater plate is rounded, mine was anyway. I started with the 180 going straight forward and back, turn 90 degrees and repeat until I had a satisfactory surface area, and then did 220 to further prep it and flatten it out. I am guessing I am getting a .5mm or more of contact for the gasket/heater plate. The torques is so low on that plate that my thought process is any little bit helps. I've heard that just using The Right Stuff will seal it too, but I have never tried it.
