mike, I’m cleaning my throttle body and decided to just change the heater plate since it was clogged up with who knows what. BUT the screws are seized up and are stripping at this point.

There’s no leak just figure since it was clogged up I’d change it out. Picked and ran carb cleaner through it and the flow is back, should I just by pass it?

i don’t see the need for it.... (am I wrong)

also doing the PcV mod.

If you want a coolant leak that IS going to happen eventually no matter what = leave it installed. Every single Bosch D2/P38 I touch = #1 thing that gets deleted/bypassed.

Just ordered some new hose. I’m gonna use the plate cleaned out till I receive the new hose from AB.

For the gazillionth time there is no reason to connect the two hoses together! Just plug them with appropriately sized bolts and use small hose clamps to hold the bolts In place in the ends of the hoses. Don't overthink this!

Yep plug em or just get 3.5ft of 5/16 hose. I prefer to have it flow back to the reservoir to keep the end on the intake from collecting goo (with no flow) but either way works. Heck my 95 D1 is now rocking a TBH delete. They hardly ever leak, but the 95 was growing a furry mess so while I had it off during the engine work I used 4 nice SS Allen head bolts (on a D1 2 of the 4 bolts go all the way thru into the intake), and just ran the hose to the radiator from the intake.
