Default Throttle Position Sensor Bolt Size

Has anyone chnaged their TPS recently? I am having a heck of a time finding a socket to fit on to the bolts. It seems to be somewhere in between 5 and 6MM, or 3/16 and a 14.

Am I losing my mind?

I am looking at Rovers North and it says that the bolt is M6 x 25mm but my 6mm socke will not fit. I'm befuddled.

The Atlantic British video at 5:56 minute show 5/16" or 8 mm mounting bolts. The 6:52 minute indicate 5.5mm bolts at the bottom holding the throttle heater plate.

I got them off with a random socket of a different design. i am going to head to the store to find a socket that fits or a replacement screw or bolt.

If you do not already have one... don't forget you will most likely need a 1/4" socket extension to get to the two 5/16" mounting bolts at the bottom.

This is from my experience a couple of months ago..... I did not have this extension. I ended up taping a screw driver to the slotted head of the socket so that I can turn the bottom bolts.

M6 refers to the thread diameter, not the size of the head.

I brought the bolts to the store, and they are 7/32" heads.

The TPS I got from NAPA is fitting oddly, and the sensor that was on read as a Porsche TPS in Napa's system.
