Default throttle problem? stuttering.

Please help! I was just about to head out on a road trip and my Disco II all of a sudden started stuttering a bit, still drives, idles fine but can feel loss of power after 1500 rpm. service engine soon light came on, flashes at 1800rpm, stays solid when idle. I checked all hoses, no leaks.

Check those codes but you probably need a tuneup. Use magnacor 8mm wires from Apex performance (http://www.apexperformance.net/CartGenie/prod-1155.htm) or if you cannot afford those go with kingsborne wires. Use decent spark plugs of your choosing.

Why didn't you get the 4 digit fault codes before wasting your/our time with asking what is wrong with your truck.
Get them read at a local auto parts store and get back to us today, then we can help you.
