Climb underneath and look at the large drum on the back of the transfer case,in / on the bottom of it on the oppsite side to the driveshaft, you will see a 17mm bolt head, thats the adjuster.
Park the vehicle on level ground with handbrake off (chock the wheels). You will be able to slightly turn the drum by hand,tighten the adjuster till the drum is locked and you cannot move it anymore, then back it of again 1-1/5 turns.
Check the operation of the handbrake, if its still to loose (too many clicks), tighten it a bit more at a time till its good, BUT always make sure the drum can move by hand when the handbrake is off.
It should hold the vehicle after the first 3 or 4 clicks.
