Default Time to go Mr. Resonator.

Ok so I have decided today that I want the resonator off. But here is the thing, I read through some posts on doing it and I cant get a good visual of where to cut. I am a VERY visual person, once I see it I can do it. If anyone has a picture/digram of it that can show me the spot that would be great.

And any tips on doing it would be great as well. What should I cut with? And how long does it take? and is there anything I need to do after?

I will get a before and after vid. on here once I do it.

THANKS GUYS!

I have a D1, so mine is different. Just make sure you turn it down after, or you might heat up the lights in your bumper. They will fall out...

Is it simple to do? How long did it take you what tools did you use?

Less than a minute with a sawzall....just be careful not to let it fall on you. I went to the auto parts store and bought ageneric tip to turn it down. It is bigger than the pipe, but the way I see it, it will help pull the gasses out when I am rolling.....

I'll post a pic later if you want one.....(and promise not to laugh)

I cut mine with a hack saw, you may find you may want to add an extension to help vent the exhaust, I didn't but whenever I go up a hill I will sometimes smell a small amount of exhaust.

Here you go. Took a bit to upload.

Please look around the oil stains on the driveway. I dropped the pan last weekend and made a mess...

I do apologize for the ghetto tip...

Thanks for that post! That gave me a perfect look at it. Is there a sepcific spot to cut, or is it just anywhere behind the resonator?

in between the resonator and the exhaust hanger. Yours is different in shape, and mineexits more to the passenger side than yours. I turned mine down a little towards the front of the truck, because if I go straight back, it would hit the trailer hitch. Yours should come straight out the back, if you want to...Not sure where the mounts are either.

I cut mine between the resonator and the farthest back mounting hanger. I left enough on each to weld it back on later if I wanted too....
