Default Time for the initiation rights

ok first i have tried a search and tried not to bother u guys as i know this is a full time job. Ive been driving my new rover now for about 3 weeks 2000 disco at 116,000 miles. I'm pretty well used to it now all the quirks. I was driving from Taunton ma to fall river ma only about 15 min highway. I noticed some very poor gas mileage and i mean APPALLING! i can actually notice the needle move if i leave a min. in between glances. those 15 min. i used almost half a tank. no exaggerating. sssooo i figured hey maybe im going crazy. i went to fill up on the way home(premium gas). filled it to the brim and lost an 8th or about on the 2 mile drive home from the pump.
tried to start and it turned sputtered and stopped. did that twice before it stayed running and got a check engine when it did.. new battery, drive shaft, radiator. I'm leaving for auto zone now to get the codes read and will return soon. thanks to any1 reading.

Please get the codes and post as soon as you have them and before you start throwing money at the truck.

Before this trip/problem you had no warning signs?

The obvious question, was it leaking fuel at the station when you filled up or between the 2 trips?

How full was it before the 15mile trip, how much did you put in at the station, and how much did it then have in it after you got home?

I guess I am asking if you know its actually using that much gas or if the gauge could be faulty somewhere.

Do you have the RAVE manual so you can learn more about the codes when you get them?

Codes: p1590, 1884, 102

no warning signs

no leaks, but a good a tip i over looked the obvious.

it was at about 3/4 of a tank before the trip. it was 15 min highway not miles, sorry if i miss typed in the original post.

I'm not sure about the gauge. it doesn't seem to jump or reverse its decision and go back up but that doesn't mean its not bad.

Maybe another obvious question but can you smell fuel inside/outside the truck? I can't imagine the truck actually burning that much fuel that quickly.....but who knows with a Rover

well yellow my neighbor just gave me one crazy look as i sniffed around my truck turning it on and off haha. No fuel smell or puddle, but i found the in rave that the 102 code is thrown by the MAF sensor which the rave says could have caused my trouble starting. Auto zone cleared the codes and it seemed to be ok on the way home still burning through a little too much gas but not that horrific amount from earlier. the p1590 is an abs rough road circuit malfunction caused perhaps by a bad wheel sensor. i do have the three amigos but that's another problem ive done my homework on and am not worried about fixing myself as soon as my abs amigo gets here. 1884 was an idle speed problems says the auto zone guy. I looked that up in the rave and it has many possibilities, none of which seem to fit my problem. thanks for the replies guys.

That would be pretty funny to witness At least your Amigos won't judge you.

If your MAF is bad you'll need to replace it as DII MAF's are really sensitive and won't survive the cleaning process. I think 1590 is related to your Amigo issue which you will be fixing later.

It is the MAF, for sure which is also the reason for the 1884 code showing up. You will need a new MAF, by part number, no after market, and once done the 1884 will go away.
Don't start guessing on the 3 Amigos, send me you number and I'll call and walk you thru what to check.
