If you are doing the rod bearings:

I suggest reviewing or downloading and then reviewing the RAVE for this, it is pretty simple, but if you are time limited take the time plan it out.

Get all your fluids, filters, gaskets etc.

Make sure you have a torque wrench and good jack stands - with luck you can rent them or borrow them.

Figure out how long you think it will take and add an hour or so because something always seems to take longer.

And as you seem pretty good with it, ask question before you start if things do not makes sense too you.

It really is pretty easy - the more you can repair or maintain yourself the more confident you will be in your vehicle.
