Default Timing Cover Gasket Help

Hey guys, I have a thread in general tech, but thought i may get more help here. I have my brothers 03 Disco and I need to replace the timing cover gasket, oil pan gasket, water pump gasket and front main seal. His car streams mountain dew when we pressurize the system. I would like to know what else I need to replace and where I should get these from. I was hoping maybe you guys know of a company that had these in a felpro type aftermarket brand.

Also I was wondering If i need to replace the oil pump in his car. I read that there are a lot of failures but that they normally die early. His has 130K miles. Do I need to replace it? (its a pretty steep price).

Thanks for your help

I would do an oil pressure test first, if all is well, leave it alone. If it's below spec. which is I believe 10psi. min. Then DEFINITELY change it. May be expensive but replacement engines are a lot more!!!

The best place to get parts is through Atlantic British parts. Decent prices, and decent products. I've just done this job as part of a head gasket repair, and it is a big one. The easiest way to get the front damper off is to use an impact, and to get it in there you will need to pull the radiator. I'm not sure how many miles are on his 03, but you may want to look pretty hard at doing the head gaskets while you are in there. Life seems to be around 100k for them from what I have been reading with other peoples experiences. I had 103k on mine. Have fun!

BTW, download the Rave manual and make sure you note the bolt torques and proper sequence when installing the cover back on...

I don't see why I would need to pull the front clip?

I didn't see anyone mention removing the front clip, but removing the radiator will def make this an easier job.
