Tips on upgrading sound system?

Cheers!
thoughts on putting dual 8" subs in the tower bar?
https://www.rockvilleaudio.com/dmac80s/
i realize it won't sound as good as a floor box, but as long as it doesn't rattle and sound like crap, I think it's a good tradeoff.
cant find 10" pods
these are the 6.5s I picked up

The Phillips speakers are with the HK sound system if I recall correctly and I'm almost positive I do. If they have a metal cage and don't look like dog sh*t then they are HK. The base system also didn't have the 3" speakers or rear subs, so you've got the HK system.
Those pods look good. I'd try pointing them backwards instead of forwards. I think that will be your best bet for sound quality.
For subs, let me see what I can find you. 10" is too big to hang for sure. I don't think it will rattle as long as its a purpose built enclosure. Is there a maximum mounting depth for the one you've found?
Edit: nevermind, just saw the link. 7.4" mounting depth.

Ok, lets rotate that sub out for it's single voice coiled twin. Here you go.
Polk Audio db840 8-Inch Single Voice Coil Subwoofer (Single, Black) https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0016GX21G/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_kvDIzbQVBTZQP
Get two of these and run them in series. That will drop it to 2 ohms which is 300 watts RMS from the amp. These subs will live a long happy life at that power level and should sound pretty good.

Looked up the adapter that works. Its the PAC SWI-jack from what I'm reading. A quick Google should find it and more info. I also read something that said newer head units may not even need an adapter. Dunno, really. Disco is my only vehicle with steering wheel controls and the PO installed the head unit so they don't work. Worth looking into.

I have an '03 SE7 and did 3 way Focal speakers upfront, 2 ways in the rear doors, and a 10" in the cargo door.
