Default Tire chains on Discoverys?

Why does Land Rover say not to use tire chains on Discovery Land Rovers?

No, you can run chains on Rovers, check with Atlantic British, I believe they sell the correct style.

You can run chains on all model Rovers as long as you have chain clearance. The chains work much better if you have CDL so you can keep power focused on the tires with the chains. Chains will work well for stopping and turn no mater wether or not you have a CDL and even without CDL the traction control in conjunction with chains will make a big improvement.
