Default Tire cuping/ new shocks?

I recently had my o3 discovery in to a local shop for a tire rotation and they showed me uneven tire wear around the perimeter of the tire and said that i needed new shocks on all four corners. Is this truly the problem to the tire wear issue? If so is this something that can be performed at normal shop i.e. one that does not specailize in rover work. New to the forum so it is nice to be here, more questions to follow....I am a devoted rover owner who is not blessed with mechanical skill!!

How many miles are on your Rover? Other than an alignment and new shocks I cannot think of any other parts to swap out.

Cheers,

Pete

The factory shocks are probably spent at 66k. I suspect my shocks are factory and I've got 136k. Some new Old Man Emu shocks and springs are on the way...

Cheers,

Pete

Factory style tires need to be rotated every 5 to 7,000 miles, keep the air pressure about 5#'s heavier then what is posted on the door jam and yes, your shocks are gone.
What size tires do you have, how much tread is left?
If they are the 18" tires and you need new tires select a different style tire for better wear .

Any brake/muffler/suspension shop can replace your shocks.
It is a very easy job.
