Tire size for stock Series II

RE: Tire size for stock Series II
Ditto. I have an 02 Kalahari, with the stock Michelin 255/65R16s - at 50,000 miles they're about 5,000 from needing to be replaced, and I wouldn't mind something a little meatier (to go with my new - yay! - CDL the shop's working on). I'm used to the road hum of the BFGATs, so that'll probably be my choice.
I understand that the OME 2" lift would help off-road and may even improve the handling despite raising the center of gravity (is this correct?). I still would rather not lift the truck if I don't have to. I spend a lot of time towing trailers and I don't want to compromise the stability at all. I also have to drive into the occasional parking garage - I have to leave off my roof rack because of this, and another few inches would make me pretty nervous. And frankly I don't think lifted Discos look all that great - they sort of seem awkward. Maybe that's why we need to compensate by putting on more hefty bumpers?
Assuming I went ahead and got the OME, I would think I'd get the heavy-duty since I often load down the truck (esp the rear, with trailer and load). I guess this probably makes it stiffer and bumpier on-road, which is fine with me.
BTW - from my calculations 255s are around 81mm tall or 32"; 265s are around 84 or 33".
