Default Tire upgrade ?

Upgrading my tires. 00 Disco2 OEM size is 255/65/16, Can I use 245/75/16 tire? or a 245/70/16.? Wondering about claerance issues. thanks.

It depends if you have a lift? With a 2" lift you could probably fit those tires.
I have a OME 2" lift with Good year Duratracs 265/70/16's. They do not rub, but you will loose 2/3 mpg and torq with that tire size. To get it back you would have to upgrade to 4:11 gears.

245/75/16 should fit stock on a D2, most of the time... It's only about an inch bigger, so that's half an inch on each from center.

I would imagine a 245/75 would clear fine. I am running 265/75 with only a trimmed airdam and adjusted steering stops.

A size you may want to consider is a 255/70, as wide as stock, but about an inch bigger.

And like bosshog says- the bigger you go, the more mpg you will loose. I get a 3mpg difference between my '98 and my '04( 04 worse=bigger tires)

Sorry to buf, but what about an 18' tire. I have the factory 18's on my 00' disco II
