Default Tired of singing to myself

The radio numerical range on my 2004 Disco is from 1-7 requiring 5 digits from numbers 1-7 be chosen. The dealer said the radio code is 1213, obviously missing one digit. I checked with three dealers, each giving me the 1213 number for the vin number of my Disco. The sticker from the glove box is missing that would have had the full 5 digit number. This is an HSE with the Nav system.

Short of pulling the radio, is there anyone who can give me guidance with this 1213 mystery......I have tried 11213 thru 71213 and 12131 thru 12137 giving 5 digits with no luck.........HELP>>>>>>>>>>

It will do nothing until you enter a 5th digit. The last space for the 5th digit just blinks until you enter something.

I don't think it's on the back off the radio either, so if u stole it u couldn't make it work. Could be wrong though.

With the radio on, pull the fuse and put it back in. Sometimes you could trick it this way. Disclaimer...I take no responsibility for you blowing anything up, just giving what worked for me a couple times. As far as the code, who knows if the radio was replaced under warranty or something like that, so the vin might not be valid anymore. Considering the factory radio and nav sucks, spend a couple hundred on a nice after market unit. I had the factory nav radion in my 04 and the HK in my 00. They both got new units with Bluetooth, dual USB to connect and charge phone, sat radio, etc. Best money spent! The nav thru my phone is night and day better than factory.

Pull the radio, get the master number off the back. They should be able to get the code from that. Happens all the time, when radio is replace under warranty.

If you put in the wrong code too many times it may brick the radio?
Code should be on a plastic card in the owner's manual.
Look for the card or look if someone scribbled the number or left the card in a pocket or under the seats where the cd changer is.
