Tires size here we go again
I have had a 1 inch lift put on my discoII. Knew suspension all around. Terra firma. Shocks etc. Basically replaced the original coils with no lift coils and used 1 inch spacers. I would like to run 275/70/18's on it. I measured the tires Im going to use and the are 10.98 wide by 33.19 diam. nit ridge grapplers. They look like they will fit fine. I do no off roading. Daily driver. My other options are 265/65/18's 31.77 dam. 10.71 wide. I know you can run the 265/65/18's with no lift on the disco. Has anyone run a 275/70/18 on this 1 inch lift. My guy tells me it will fit.
Thanks, joe

I thought we covered this extensively not long ago but if your "guy" says they will fit then you have the answer. Is he going to switch them out if you have an issue and not charge you? I had rubbing issues with 285/75/16 with a 2" lift and that was while maneuvering in a parking lot. And I had a trimmed stock bumper that allowed more clearance.

I want to put a update on about tire size for disco 2. I had a 1 inch lift put on my disco. Largest tire I can run is a 265/65/18. That will rub a tad on the side running brd wheel mud flap on the front tire from the running bed. To take care of that you have to trim just a little on the inside. I would say they would rub even with a 2 inch lift. So if you have the LR running boards installed that is where the rubbing will come from. Other than that they look great fill out the wheel well great. Glad I did not try to cram 275/75 18 on it. Even with a 2 inch lift they would of looked ridiculous and rubbed. Hope this helps someone else so they do not go crazy trying to figure out what will fit. I used nitto ridge grapplers. Amazing tire.
