Anyone know anything about the 5.0 liter engines these guys advertise on their website? Besides being a bit expensive are they reliable? Anybody ever heard?

 

Sure they are, why do you need that much power?

 

I don't really. I have my eye on an '03 with a bad motor and the guy is asking pennies for it. I just wanted the best most reliable option for a new motor.

 

320 HP sounds pretty sweet. I'm wondering if the tranny and t-case can handle it though?

 

I was wondering the same thing. Seems like they put alot of effort into building those engines and they should be reliable. The dealer here wants $9,700 just for the engine!

 

I'd also be a little concerned with what kind of parts you would need if you ever need to do work on it.

With that power/engine, this truck would be an absolute hit. I'd love a Disco with power like that, even for just towing with confidence. Been thinking about getting a new LR4 next year for the wifey. Test drove one. The 5.0 that has with 375HP is outstanding.
