I would be interested in seeing how many other Disco II's have gone this far on the Original motor / drivetrain. The only major repairs have been head gaskets (once at 125K and again at 235K)

Nicely done, folks. My understanding is that the transmissions in these are quite stout and the drivetrain will have a long life in the hands of a diligent owner who keeps the cooling/oiling systems in check.

How about front driveshaft replacement/overhaul intervals? Or mileages at failure?

Just clicked 175k miles over the weekend.

I've been Religiously maintaining oil and cooling systems since my 135k mile inception. She's running strong
