what size bolts? most importantly how much pounds you needing to apply?

i would get a good 1/2 and just use a 1/2 to 3/8 socket adapter if you need it for a 3/8 socket. just be carefull on the size. make sure you can get it in and out of what you need it for. the 3/8 are usually smaller, etc.

I know that there are a few instances on here where you need 300 lb/ft torque and people sometimes have a hard time finding one that goes that high. There is a pretty cheap one at Harbor Freight that I have seen several people mention buying on here and they have had no problems with it and it has served most of their needs.

The highest torque on a DII is the axle nut at 360lbs. Otherwise you can get away with a 1/2" 25-250lb wrench, though a 3/8" torque wrench is nice to have. The main thing most people need to torque on are lug nuts which a 1/2" wrench is nice to have. Craftsman torque wrenches are terrible junk and only have a 90 day warranty. Look for a gearwrench (USA) clicker torque wrench online or get a proto, CDI, precision instruments split beam for cheap on ebay. Surprisingly enough the harbor freight torque wrenches are also great for $10 and $15, lifetime warrant also.

There's more to a torque wrench than the warranty. Namely, how accurate it is.
I wouldn't put much faith in the accuracy of a $15 torque wrench.

For anything critical, like head bolts, I'd certainly calibrate any torque wrench first.

Also, for head bolts you need a torque angle gauge in addition to a torque wrench.

So far, the 3/8" torque wrench has worked great. I tried the 1/2" but there's a lot of places you can't get into with it. BTW it goes up to 100ft lbs.

I would have to agree with you but as for the crappy engineering that went into my engine , i am wondering.. I found this one... Is this a good one? they seem to use in the uk alot ....

Looks nasty! That's a good price for a 1/2". They run about 75-100 bucks in the US. Good tool, you will use it alot. Esp for the lug nuts/tires. Thats where I use mine the most.
