Default TPS Test

Is there a way to test a TPS before I go replacing it? Like maybe a simple resistance measure? I'd look in rave but I'm at work tonight.

I looked in the rave manual, all it said was it was a variable resistor, with voltage output of 0-5v

so i imagine if you put an ohm test on it you could see the resistence change as you turn it, the only thing is we have no idea what the parameters should be.

If I recall RAVE says that if it goes out of parameters then the check engine light should come on but it sure didn't on mine. 98 D1

Yea, I read that in there too. I thought it odd that something isn't right and making it idle that high, yet the ecu dosen't realize it and trip the CEL. Well, I got a new one on the way, hope thats it.
