Default Traction control

Traction control does not appear to be working on my 2001 Discovery II. Has 178,000 miles and everything works/runs just fine. Noticed wheels spin this week when driving out on wet farmland.
Ideas/suggestions?

When did you last change your brake fluid? Do you know how your traction control works, wheels can and will spin. Do you hear the ABS pump working when the T/C light flickers on the dash?

Thanks for the replies. No ABS light on and no Traction Control light flickering, that was what I first noticed this weekend. I'm familiar with the wheels spinning a bit then hearing the system engage and the TC indicator light come on. My wife has been driving truck the last few months so I am not sure how long this has been an issue. Changed brake fluid late 2010 early 2011

When you start the truck, do you see the ABS, TC, and HDC lights turn on then off as part of the start-up process?

Ok . . . ABS, Hill Descent and Traction Control lights all come on for a few seconds then go out, at start up of engine. Checked fuse panel in truck for Gear Box, that was fine; checked ABS fuse, that is fine, too. Checked fuses under hood and nothing bad there. Would pulling the codes narrow this down? I have been using a local non-dealer mechanic group for several years, only Land Rover, BMW repair shop and they've done well by me. Just wondering if I might figure this out on my own before having to fork over $ to them... thoughts?

I didn't see you mention anything about codes before.
When you say the 3 amigos come on for a couple of seconds, are you referring to when you turn your key to the 2nd. position and all the other lights come on?
If you have and codes, go get them read a a local parts store, most do it for free, and get the exact fault numbers so we can figure out what is happening.
