Trailridge Road
Today's family outing was to Rocky Mountain National Park to drive Trailridge Road. Trailridge is the highest continuous roadway in the US an peaks at 12,183 feet above sea level. The Rover struggled at those elevations because of the thin air but none the less we made it to the top and to the other end where we stopped for a picnic lunch. Weather wasn't the greatest but it was still a good time. Most of bad fortunately was hit at the lower elevations where the chances of sliding off the road wasn't as great.
Here's a pic of the Rover at the top of Trailridge Road.

There were thunderstorms moving through when we were up there. We started walking up the trail until we saw lightning. That's when we decided we would try again on a nicer day. I had never been up there and wanted to see it with some snow left.
