Trans warning light
I looked in the book and it states that if the light comes on allow to cool down, and warning light to go offbefore moving. Anyone know what causes the trans to get hot in the middle of the winter? I haven't driven the truck in about 2 weeks, and I am not pulling anything (like a trailer). I have 98,600 on the vehicle.
Fluid level. You are low on trans fluid. If it leaks on drop at a time over the years you will not notice a leak and it will get low on fluid without you knowing it.
Run it low on fluid and it will overheat and then self-destruct.

How often do you change the fluids, have you checked the levels yet and when ezactly will the light come on?
Thyere have been issues with a short that can trip the lights as well as failing temp sensors.
So how far do you have to drive beforethe light comes on?
