Default 03 Discovery trans leak at trans cooler? Under bumper!

I'm a 3 day old 2003 Discovery owner, the dealer was savvy to clean it up enough so when I crawled under the front end, and was met with the skid plates the vehicle looked reasonable for a 5 yr. old with 50K on it. After a night in the garage I was met with red trans oil under the bumper? I assumed the trans oil cooler? is this a common problem, and this is the biggie is how do I know how much trans oil is in the trans, and how do I add trans oil? I did get an extended warranty that will kick in 28 day from now... I called the dealer and he of course is "will get back with me"

Check the fluid level thru the side fill hole in the tranny pan with the engine running in park.
Fill till fluid comes back out the hole.
Better check with the warranty, most don't cover tranny hose leaks, get the dealer to fix it ASAP.

Take it back, park it in front of his door, give the salesman the keys and say call me when it is fixed, you have 3 days then you will here from my attorney. They will fix it with a smile.

I am more than a little surprised that the dealer stepped up and did the right thing, we'll have our vehicle back tomorrow after a $700 repair that the dealer paid for... thanks for all the advise, I have a feeling I'll be back for more...
