Transfer Box - replacing front bearing
Hi all.
About to take delivery of a D2a. The previous owner tells m the front bearing in the transfer box needs replacing....little bit of slop an a whine.
He tells be it is a straight fwd job, about an hour and no need to remove the box from the vehicle.
I have watched a few videos. The rear bearing looks as he describes (very easy and straight forward)....but the removal of the front is not entirely clear.....and I suspect might be a bit more involved.
Could someone please advise and perhaps point me to a decent video.
And/or a decent (online) manual.....will likely need one now!!
TIA

@buggame Before going through all that drain and replace the fluid transfer case and diff oil with a good quality gear oil. Then grease the driveshafts. The bearings do go, but whine and slop is usually oil and dry drive shafts.
Is there an easy way of dropping the grease out of the swivels??
