Question Transfer case delete...

Hi all.
Another sinful question... Has anyone deleted the transfer case connecting a rear driveshaft directly from the transmission tail to the rear differential ?

It would take a ZF4HP22 BMW tail end swapped in.

Have not done it because the parking brake would be also deleted. And the muffler would complain a bit.

Been running rear wheel drive only for several years with zero problems nor need (No front driveshaft nor front axles) and I do not play offroad in the mud or snow at all.
I do not foresee a simple way to implement the parking brake in such configuration. Do you ?

Any way instead, to leave the portion of the stock transfer case that holds the parking brake and delete the bulk of it ? Would take some cover fabrication, right ?

I have seen a few over the years that have done RWD only but I think they skipped the parking brake entirely.

Could you tap something like this into the rear brakes?
