Try without the 3" extension, or use a swivel joint, move the e-brake cable out of the way, it is snug but it will work.

You can try this

or using the 1/2 ratchet by its self in this position as in the picture.

LOL. Not crack, meth.
I just did it a couple of weeks ago and I could not find my extension, no problem without it, move the parking brake cable, loosen it with the ratchet, remove ratchet then remove by hand.

okay... Meth. Lol

yeah gonna have to do that, actually i broke it loose and can get the ratchet out, then have to remove it the rest of the way by hand, its just time consuming. i was gonna cut down a 1/2 in square head and weld the cutoff to a scrap piece of iron and bend slightly at the end if i cant get it by hand... i can make something up but dont think I'll have to.
if it can be done im sure I'll get it, one way or the other.

I just changed he fluid in my T-Case a few weeks ago and this tool worked great. I just moved the E brake cable out of the way and it fit perfect.

I use the Ratchet to back it out just enough that the Ratchet doesnt get trapped in there, then I use a pair of pliers to gently coax it out untill its loose enough to unscrew by hand..

I have a set of curved skinny vise grips..
Similar to these..

and GENTLY was the key word here.. I brought it out as far as I could with the 1/2 inch drive and then used them, now the threads are cleaned up as I've been checking the fluid level once a week as I have a leaky rear output shaft seal, I can loosen it with my hand once I back it out a bit with the 1/2 inch drive..
