Transfer case swap '04 diff into '03
I recall once upon a time there were garages with two-post lifts that could be rented by the hour. I think those are long gone, thanks to the lawyers and liability concerns.
When I die and (hopefully) go to heaven, I want a two-post lift.

I have considered buying this: https://www.bestbuyautoequipment.com...H-PSP-6000.htm However the yahoo that built my house and poured my driveway managed to make sure not a single spot on it is level.
For the record the engine swap was on old asphalt, not good and some broken up but it was asphalt.
Tranfer case was on my parking spot with gravel.
I was going to do it at a friends house who has a lift but I had to choose between trying to get it all done in one day with a great environment or over a couple of weeks outside with some yoga mats to lay down on.
I chose the relaxed pace of 2 weeks.
Note: don't tell my wife about the yoga mats.

I'm doing a transfer case swap. Putting in a 2004 into a 2003 D2.
I'm just about to remove the 2003 but before I do I'm wondering about the 2 switches/sensors that are on the nose that the 2003 did not have.
I don't have any un-used wiring connectors or laying around on top of the transfer case or transmission or under the center console.
I've got the write up from Josh Sales, for replacing the nose only. He describes the splicing in the wire to the diff lock switch. I'm assuming it is one of the switches on top of the new nose. But which one is it....the one closest to the engine or the one that is more rear?
Thanks for any input

I definitely understand the pain of “austere” conditions for doing fun stuff. Do I get credit for doing the clutch in my Jeep in these conditions? I did this 100% solo, but did get a tranny jack to help in the process. Probably the hardest part was the heavier flywheel; trying to manhandle that awkward thing up there and line it up was not easy.

(Note the jack in there hidden in the snow)

I gotta admit, that was pretty hard to do at my age.
I don’t really have much productive to add as I’m lucky that both my D2s are ‘04s, but it’s good food for thought for if I ever have to change out the T case in either.
