Hello, I am asking about changing the transmission filter on a 2001 LR DII. Before I went to take the pan off and get into it I wanted to make sure I could fill it back up. When I took out the transmission filler plug (front of the transmission pan) fluid started to come out. After all I read I was under the impression that when I remove the plug there should be a very little amount of fluid coming out, please let me know the full prodcedure for filling the transmission fluid on these sealed systems. You need to have the truck running when you check the fluid. When you shut the truck off all your fluid drains back into the pan making it seem over full. When I refill them I put in as much as I can then start it up and top it off drive threw the gears and top it off again
